Today May took part in the Glenfield Parade. It’s the first time we have been a part of this parade, last year she participated in the Birkenhead Parade with her Kindergarten and that was a smaller parade compared to this one.
This one had many participants and at the end of the parade there was a Gala in Marlborough Park where May performed with her classmates.
It was really fun, the weather was great, warm but not searingly hot with a bit of a breeze.
On other news, yesterday I went to the Hasbro Annual Toy Sale and while waiting in the queue (which took about 45 minutes) we found out that it was the annual sale of many other wholesale businesses in the area, one of which was Tiffanies (they are a Quilt supplies wholesaler!). So after we finished our Christmas toy shop we went down to Tiffanies.
They had a good range of Fat Quarters at $3 each, some Moda precuts which were at great prices but unfortunately not much variety and had to be bought in packs of half a dozen sets (I think). I did find a pack of Lucy’s Crab Shack charm pack and another charm pack at a good price. The true gem of the day though was found at Fabric A Brac in Freeman’s Bay’s Community Hall, it’s a get together for people with too much fabric stash who can come and sell it here. Proceeds go to the Hospice. I got this bag of remnants and it was full of beautiful Japanese made fabric, I’m not sure what exactly it was made of but I think it might be linen. It’s vibrant and gorgeous!
